Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I get my hands on gluten-free sourdough bread?
A fantastic question! Luce's Bakehouse delivers fresh, artisan sourdough every Tuesday to Central Oregon Locavore and Schoolhouse Produce, and we make our weekly pre-order deliveries (or pickup) on Tuesdays as well.
You can also find us at the Northwest Crossing Farmers Market every Saturday through July 27, 2024.
How should I store my bread?
We recommend refrigerating your bread to extend the shelf life if you're not going to eat it in the first few days.
You can also freeze your bread but be sure to use a zipper bag that's made for freezing so your bread doesn't get freezer burn.
How long will the sourdough bread last?
Our gluten-free sourdough will last a few days at room temperature and about a week refrigerated.
Feel free to freeze it (or part of it) if you need it to last longer!
Are your products celiac safe?
Our entire founding team is either celiac or gluten sensitive, so we understand cross-contact well, and how to avoid it!
Our products are currently made in a shared facility with other brands who are using gluten, dairy, nuts, and other allergens. We do our best to keep you safe with strict allergen protocols. We use our own equipment as often as possible and always clean shared equipment before use. As much as we'd love for you to taste our delicious gluten-free creations, we understand that everyone's risk tolerance is different.
Can I make a custom order?
Not yet... Until we have our own bakery space, we simply don't have the ability to make custom orders. Of course we'd love to help you out, so feel free to leave us a message in our contact form if your request could potentially be made in a home kitchen.
What if I'm not satisfied?
We highly doubt this will happen! But, you never know. And your tastebuds are our highest priority! If you're unhappy with your bread, we want to make it right!
If there are any defects, such as a large cave, please take a photo and email it to us at contact@lucesbakehouse.com and let us know if you'd rather receive a refund or a free replacement.
If you don't like the bread for any other reason, you'll receive a full refund! Please email us with your receipt of purchase.
